Why not attack my lovely readers with multiple posts of pictures of random things? Why not???

*Note to self: Check followers for decline. ASAP.

*Follow-up Note to self: Hunt down anyone who un-follows. There's only 18, it won't be hard.

Top row: Day 32 Snowmageddon begins; Day 33 Duke sleep while I cook dinner; Day 34 Driving 25 mph on a clear stretch of road, would be passed by someone going 45 mph on a totally not clear patch of road after this; Day 35 View from work.
Middle row: Day 36 Duke begs; Day 37 Daisy gets Saturday snuggles from her dad; Day 38 I won $50 in Super Bowl Squares (it paid our tab); Day 39 Duke sleeps.
Bottom row: Day 40 Husband spends all evening cleaning house only to throw his shirt AT the hamper instead of IN the hamper and he leaves it; Day 41 So cold. Inside.; Day 42 This tab top can has instructions on how to open; Day 43 Duke gets his Saturday morning sun nap in.

Oooh! That is much better than the longest post ever that was the month of January's pictures. Which do you like better? Longest post ever or collage?

1001 Pictures: January's Pics

WARNING: There are a lot of pictures in this post.  Like 31 a lot.  I've got plans for the rest of them so it's not a barage of pictures all at once that may or may not be of any interest to you.  All photos courtesy of my iPhone.

January's pictures:
Day 1: New Years, beer pong, Justin's "I'm going to ruin this picture" smile.
Day 2: Living room paint. Eliminated bottom row immediately.
Day 3: Brother Duke was at the vet all day, so Daisy came to work with me.
Day 4: Duke's back home, but I take both dogs to work. Daisy's glad her bro is back.
Day 5: Duke's back at vet. Daisy finds a cubby hole for hiding.
Day 6: My poor Duke would probably not like for me to tell you where this valium went.
Day 7: Duke back at the vet all day, Daisy rewarded for good behavior with a ham bone that she only licks.
Day 8: Tried to take a nap. View from the couch.
Day 9: Duke is soooo hungry that he unlocks his bowl from his feeder, gets the bowl out of the hole and knocks it into the floor. Sadly, the food is so low that he can't reach it when he sticks his head in.
 Day 10: Snow at night.
Day 11: Fun night at home.
 Day 12: The Dukes sleeps.
Day 13: Duke is in love with the space heater.
Day 14: Googled Jessica Simpson photos to send to the boy. Inside joke.
Day 15: Working on another 101 things item.
Day 16: Dog book, cute puppy Duke pic with "Uncle" Buddy.
Day 17: Duke and Daisy wait for customers.
Day 18: One month anniversary dinner mess, cooked two of Martha's recipes.
Day 19: And then there were three.
Day 20: Winter weather wear.  Classy.
 Day 21: Egads!
Day 23: Wedding pictures are here!
 Day 24: My thoughts exactly.
 Day 25: Math. Sleeping dog.
Day 26: Pumping gas... Duke looks a lil crazy.
Day 27: Bed time. Sportscenter, sleeping dogs.
Day 28: Duke makes it hard to do laundry when he lays on the laundry and blocks the washer.
Day 29: Almost 70 degrees on a Saturday, opened the windows. Snow coming in the next few days.
Day 30: Day with my favorite girls. Baby fever is back! (Ha!)
Day 31: I take a lot of dog pics, but seriously. Look at that face!

Day 22: Duck in a truck. One of our customers has a pet duck that LOVES to go for rides, among other things. (I know this is out of order but Blogger's not cooperating and I'm in the middle of a billion other projects right this second so imma let it go.)

I GOT AN AWARD. AND YES, CAPS LOCK IS APPROPRIATE.

Seriously, The Cape on the Corner gave me an AWARD.

If you're a regular reader of this blog, I'd imagine your reaction was a lot like mine, as in, "Someone gave HER an AWARD?!?"

That's right.  I also get to CHOOSE which award I'd like.

Stylish Blogger or Versatile (read: RANDOM) Blogger.

I think we all know which one I'm going for...

(You were totally thinking I'd choose the Style award, weren't you?)

I can't thank The Cape on the Corner enough for this... it totally boosts my blogging self-esteem.  I don't remember how I found the Cape but I love her writing and love her room projects (especially the sunroom!).  My assignment is to thank the person who bestowed the award upon me (xoxo to The Cape), share 7 random things about myself and pass this award on to some of my newly discovered fave blogs.

7 Random Things
1.  I got super drunk had some drinks for the Super Bowl this weekend and told my husband it's just another Super Bowl I don't remember the last half of.  I missed the 'Wardrobe Malfunction' year due to a nasty game of Circle of Death played with Red Bull & vodkas.  My mom asked what I thought of the nip-slip the next day and I had no idea what she was talking about.

2. I have had Band of Skulls "Cold Flame" on repeat since watching "Going the Distance" a few weeks ago.  This song plays in my dreams, I've listened to it so much.

3. I have 5 different flavors of cake in my freezer left over from the wedding.  I am NEVER without cake.

4. I've watched the Parks & Recreation "Flu Season" episode 12 times since it was on tv a week and a half ago.  It is THE funniest episode of that show EVER.  I can't stop watching it.  Hulu it.

5. I love brussel sprouts.

6. We already have a name picked out for the daughter we probably won't ever have.

7. I hate odd numbers so much that....

8. There has to be a #8 random fact: I eat beef jerky almost every day.

And now for eight lovely blogs I'd like to pass this award to:

A Mountain Bride
New Beginnings
Mommy Needs a Nap
Thrifty Everyday Mama
Operation Size 8
Fit and Crafty
Lacey in Love
Accidental Existence

Again, I'm DYING over getting this award.  Thanks again to The Cape on the Corner... now do some clicking and check out my award winners!

101 Things: Update

I mentioned last Thursday that I'm still going strong with the 1001 Things list which is suprising on so many levels.  I'd like to attribute this success to the fact that there are 101 things to do and many times, I'm doing something on the list without realizing it.  I'd like to say I didn't plan it this way but that would be a lie.  Here's an update as to current happenings:

Completed:
66. Go Facebook free (by choice) for at least one day *bonus points for more days* - COMPLETED: 1/4/11 - 1/7/11 (info on this at the end of this post)

In Progress:
17. Read/finish all the books that have been sitting on my nightstand for the last six months:
              a. The Year of Living Biblically
**I'm over half way done and it has been a great read.  I've not finished it because I never think to grab the book until I'm falling into bed and the DVR sleep is calling my name.

18. Make a cd with 26 new songs, each song starting with a different letter of the alphabet (3/26)
**Without looking, I'm pretty sure the three songs I have came from the movie "Going the Distance", which is one of my new fave movies.  The soundtrack is awesome.

30. Lose 10 lbs.
**I am THISCLOSE to marking this off the list.  I could cheat and round up, but I refuse because my scale has the .X so I'm being official about it.

34. Follow a diet program (recording food) to achieve results I want (will require working out!)
**My membership to Weight Watchers Online expired so I went the free route via SparkPeople.  I started off strong (like any diet program) but I don't think I've recorded my food in over a week.  However, I still log in to get my SparkPoints and I'm being mindful of what I'm taking in, even if I'm not recording it.

50. Cook through my Martha Stewart Cooking School book (3/101+)
**I've finished three different recipes, and have made one of these items twice.  More info on these in a separate upcoming post.

55. A photo a day for 1001 days (34/1001)

**This has been a lot of fun.  I've created a photo album on facebook to track these and I'm working on the best way to post them to the blog.  I'm thinking a month end post will work with all that month's pics is the best.  January is coming soon!

60. Put together guest room

**Snowpocalypse 2011 lead to a snow day and work starting on this room and my office.  More info on both rooms in an upcoming post.

61. Put together my office
**See above.

62. Send at least one card per month for the duration of the project (1/33)
**While this month was leaning towards massive fail and I was about to go 0-33, I found a thank you note from my wedding shower that hadn't been sent and go it in the mail on the 29th.  Naturally.  New goal - make it a card that means something and DON'T wait til the last minute.

69. Make a budget

**I've been researching Dave Ramsey's envelope system thanks to my mom's suggestion.  I have the budget lined up and once we finish some catch-up from the wedding, the budget will go into full effect.  I don't know that I've told the boy about this yet.

71. Make 12 different flavors of ice cream (1/12)

**I busted out the wedding gift ice cream maker Wednesday night and made vanilla ice cream and squirted in Magic Shell.  It made a vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip flavor that is pretty flipping good.  I didn't take pictures in progress so I'll have to make up for it on future, more adventurous, endeavors.

86. Make plans with my sister at least once a month (1/33)

**I made plans with my sister and she bailed on me.  However, earlier in the month she came to my house to help me watch my seizure dog and keep me from certain insanity.  I say it counts.

87. Make plans with best friends once a month (1/33)
**I hung out with bff's Krystal & Grace on Sunday for the first time since the wedding and it was awesome.  Grace sat in my lap to watch some Veggie Tales while Krystal got ready for work and I practically had to yell at my uterus to quiet down the "I WANT A BABY" screams.  I ALSO went to dinner and Babies R Us with friend Allison while our men were away playing softball.  Two friend dates in one month?!? Hard to believe but true!

88. Make plans with my mom at least once a month (1/33)
**Because of the weather, I got to hang out with my mom at the store a couple times this month.  I count this as plans because one Saturday we were stupid slow and spent the time with me talking her dang face off talking.

89. Have a date night with Justin once a month (1/33)
**I had to change the specifications of this item to remove 'JUST THE TWO OF US' because this will rarely ever happen.  We went to dinner with another couple to celebrate their anniversary.

100. Associates Degree

**God bless this one almost being finished.  All I have to say is that snow days on campus should be snow days for online students.

I couldn't believe I am working on 16 items.  Given that some of them won't be completed until the end of the project, it's nice to see I'm getting somewhere.  Most of these things I'm working on will be featured in future posts, which is pretty exciting.  I think I'm going to make February 2011 the first month I write at least 15 times on the blog.

Did anyone else do this project?  Where are you on your list?

Really.

I read today that normal baby-poop-frequency is once every couple of days to several poops a day.

Really.  That narrows it down.

P.S. I am not pregnant.  I like to read about other people having babies so I can scare the poop (pun!) out of myself.  It's my form of birth control.
